The garden is located behind the main building of KNU. The garden area is 22.5 hectares. Visitors can enter the garden by entering through the colonnades along the lobby of the University Station from Taras Shevchenko Boulevard to the stalls of the Botanical Garden; Through the northern and southern colonnades of the entrance to the lane that separates the garden and the University; from the intersection of Nazarovskaya and Lev Tolstoy Street to the alley that stretches from the Lowland of the garden to its top by the fence that divides the garden into two parts. The eastern part is open to visitors, and the western part can only be visited as part of an excursion group accompanied by garden workers, since it is a scientific zone and on its territory, in addition to administrative buildings and outbuildings, there are greenhouses and nurseries with unique plants that need constant care from scientific specialists and which can be harmed by constant access from outsiders
